Final Week in Florence

This week, I am trying my best to enjoy every last moment I have in Florence and avoid being sad about leaving in just a few days. It is insane how fast this program has gone by and I am starting to wish I would have taken more classes this summer so I could stay! Since it is my last week, I am preparing to take finals while also visiting all of my favorite places one last time. After I finished my finals, I enjoyed a couple days with my friends in Florence. Packing up my apartment was a very hard moment for me but was also a great time for me to reflect on the experiences I have had here. Even though I am leaving Florence to return back to the states, this place will always hold a special place in my heart and I know that I will return back sometime in the future. I am so grateful for the API program organizing such an impactful program for us even during Covid and for staying healthy throughout it all. I am already looking forward to my return to Florence and I am excited to see how the city has changed since I left. While walking out of my apartment for the last time, I only shed a few tears before walking to the tram that would take me to the Florence airport. I knew I was in for a long day of traveling, but I knew that it was all worth it because of the experience I was able to have in Florence.
